The Lake Leelanau Narrows is a narrow channel of water in the village of Lake Leelanau that connects North Lake Leelanau and South Lake Leelanau.
The M-204 bridge spans this iconic wetland area, which is a popular spot for boating, fishing, and viewing wildlife.

North Manitou Island lies in Lake Michigan west of the Leelanau Peninsula between sunrise and sunset. It is twelve and one-half miles from the port of Leland. The island is seven miles long and four and a half miles wide, with approximately 25 miles of shoreline.

The fruiting season generally runs from late April through mid-June, depending on your location in the state.
Weather Triggers: The best hunting often occurs after a warm spring rain.
Ideal Temperatures: Look for morels when daytime highs reach the 60s and nighttime lows stay above 40°F.
Soil Temperature: Morels typically begin to sprout when soil temperatures (at a 4-inch depth) reach approximately 52°F to 55°F.
