Rent a Yurt or A Tent Site

Rave Review
We thoroughly enjoyed our camping experience in the yurt. Our yurt didn't have heat, electricity or cooking facilities other than the outside fire pit so we still had the feeling of "roughing it" without the roughness. The novelty of the yurt in the campground also brought many fellow campers by for conversation and questions.

In the late 1200s, when Marco Polo made his historic journey to the Orient, he encountered the nomadic people of Mongolia who lived in circular tent-like structures with domed roofs.
Conceived in ancient times, these structures, called yurts, had wood framing and were covered with animal skins, which were stretched tightly to provide protection from the elements. The dome-like roof included a circular opening at the top, which encouraged natural ventilation while allowing sunlight to illuminate the interior.

But while yurts were originally designed as shelter for people who lived in some of the most inhospitable places in the world, yurts today are enjoying a renaissance of sorts in growing numbers of America’s campgrounds, which use modern canvass covered yurts to accommodate people who are looking for a unique outdoor experience.

The yurt is located in a secluded wooded setting. Portable bathrooms are just a short distance away. The site has a picnic table, fire pit. Inside the yurt you will find a small table, one queen size bed, one twin size trundle bed, and a day bed.

All mattresses are plastic covered and you must bring your own bedding.

Rates are $75.00 per night, two night minimum.

Campfires during the summer depending upon fire conditions.
